Hat is meant to be worn with approximately 1-2” negative ease. Choose a finished size that is smaller than actual head measurement.

PATTERN NOTES

The hat is knit in the round from the brim to crown. Once the desired length isreached, work the crown. Switch to double pointed needles when the stitches aretoo few to work comfortably on circular needles.

MATERIALS

Yarn: Knit Picks Upcycle Alpaca Blend Worsted (33% Alpaca, 34% Wool, 33% Acrylic; 219yd/100g): Regal 29690 (purple, slouchy version) 

Lang Yarns Yak (70% Merino, 30% Yak; 120 m/50 g): color 1103 (brown fitted version)

Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) 16" circular needles or longer for magic loop, or size to obtain gauge 

US 7 (4.5 mm) DPNs for Crown

Extras: Removable Stitch Markers (11 similar + 1 different for BOR), Tapestry Needle

Gauge: 18 sts and 32 rows = 4” in Garter worked in the round, blocked.

19 sts and 32 rows = 4” in 1x1 Twisted Rib worked in the round, blocked.
