What Is Big Up Box?
Big Up Box is a curated yarn subscription box rooted in celebration, culture, and community.
“Big up” is Jamaican Patois for giving props—acknowledging excellence, honoring accomplishments, and celebrating yourself and others. It’s something I say every day. And now, it’s the heart of this project.
Big Up Box exists to uplift and amplify dyers, designers, and fiber artists from communities that have historically been overlooked, underrepresented, and marginalized in the fiber industry—while delivering a joyful, high-quality experience to makers who want their dollars to align with their values.
This is not charity.
This is collaboration.
This is paid, credited, celebrated creative work.
